Groveland Police Thank Community for Donating to Toy Drive to Help Children in Need

GROVELAND — Chief Jeffrey Gillen would like to extend a sincere thank you to all community members who donated to the Groveland Police Department’s annual toy drive.

Over the last several weeks, the Groveland Police Department has been working with St. Patrick’s Church to collect toys for Groveland and Haverhill children this holiday season.

The department also set up boxes in the station to benefit Toys for Tots — a foundation started by the U.S. Marine Corps that works to collect gifts for children in need during the holidays — which were overflowing with donations.

“I am so grateful for the overwhelming support from community members who supported our toy drive,” Chief Gillen said. “We received hundreds of gifts this year — a record number for this drive — and we’re so pleased to be able to help our local children have happy holidays. Thank you to all who donated.”
