Groveland’s Police Chief, Robert Kirmelewicz is proud to announce that Deputy Chief Jeffrey Gillen recently graduated from the 250th session of the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia.

Gillen is a 27-year veteran of law enforcement. He began his career in 1985 with the Georgetown Police Department and joined the Groveland Police Department in 1990. He was promoted to Detective in 2002, to Corporal in 2004 and to Sergeant in 2005. He obtained his current rank of Deputy Chief in 2008.

“Deputy Gillen is the first Groveland officer to be nominated to attend the National Academy. I commend him for this prestigious accomplishment that he has worked so diligently to achieve and for the honor and respect that he has brought upon our agency,” said Chief Robert J, Kirmelewicz.
