The Groveland Police Department offers a drug take back location for residents to safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications.

Residents can come to the Groveland Police Station 24/7 to drop off your unwanted, unused, or unneeded prescription medications, and they will be safely disposed of, so that they will never get into the wrong hands. There is a drop box located in the department lobby.

This program offers residents a safe way to dispose of addictive mediations. According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, in 2019 alone an estimated 9.7 million people misused prescription pain relievers, 4.9 million people misused prescription stimulants and 5.9 million people misused prescription tranquilizers or sedatives.
