Groveland Police to Charge Woman Who Abandoned Puppy in Alleyway

GROVELAND 一 Chief Jeffrey Gillen reports that the Groveland Police Department will summons a woman to court for abandoning a puppy in an alleyway on Monday.

The woman will be summoned to appear at the Haverhill District Court at a later date to face the charge of animal cruelty.

On Monday, April 17 at approximately 3 p.m., Groveland Police responded to a report of an abandoned Australian Shepheard puppy that had been discovered in an alleyway off of Main Street. The dog was found uninjured.

The Groveland Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance.  

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
